The Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) Approved Managerial Course is a requirement for obtaining a QBCC Trade Contractors Licence. Tradespeople wanting to sub-contract will need to complete this course.
Course provides participants with skills and knowledge to:
- Identify and implement business legal requirements
- Comply with legislation, codes and regulatory requirements
- Negotiate and arrange contracts
- Identify and treat business risks
Can previous study and experience be taken into account?
Yes, your history of study, skills and experience can be taken into account but it must support the performance criteria set out in the unit of competency. Documentary evidence and interview will be required.
Upon successful completion of assessment tasks you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for the unit of competency BSBSMB401 Establish legal and risk management requirements of small business. This unit may then be used towards attainment of the qualification BSB42615 Certificate IV in New Small Business. Please note the 1 day delivery duration does not include assessment time. Assessments are to be completed in the students’ own time.
Where the training is conducted outside the immediate Cairns area then additional costs will be applicable. Any airfares, travel, accommodation, meals and materials freight incurred in the provision of this training will be on-charged. Mileage will be charged at 80¢ (plus GST) per kilometre and traveling time will be charged at our standard rates. Please contact us for a formal quotation for courses conducted outside of Cairns.
Course Venue and Equipment
Where courses are conducted on-site then a suitable venue is to be provided by the client company. The venue shall have sufficient space for the participants to be seated comfortably for the duration of training. Any catering costs shall be borne by the client company. Please contact us to discuss alternate arrangements if there is any difficulty in providing these facilities and equipment.
