Who Should Undertake This Study?
The Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) Approved Managerial Course is a requirement for obtaining a QBCC Trade Contractors Licence.
You must complete an approved managerial qualification to be eligible for a:
- trade contractor
- nominee supervisor licence (trade classes)
Tradespeople wanting to sub-contract will need to complete this course.
Course Objectives
Course provides participants with skills and knowledge to:
- Identify legal and risk management requirements relating to business
- Implement procedures and processes to comply with legislative and regulatory requirements
- Negotiate and arrange contracts
- Mitigate business risks
Can previous study and experience be taken into account?
Yes, your history of study, skills and experience can be taken into account but it must support the performance criteria set out in the unit of competency. Documentary evidence and interview will be required.
Outcome
Upon successful completion of all assessment tasks you will be issued with a Statement of Attainment for the unit of competency BSBESB402 Establish legal and risk management requirements of new business ventures. This may then be used to apply for a QBCC Trade Contractors Licence.
