DISC Personality and Behavioural Profiling

DISC methodology and practice is used to enhance communication and relationships at all levels in the workplace. Workshops, information and consultations are delivered on the different behavioural styles of clients/patients, work colleagues, prospective employees, managers and personal relationships. DISC is a great foundation for applying emotional intelligence techniques to every level of professional and personal relationships in order to achieve the best outcome.

Purpose of DISC in the Workplace

  • Develop a more cohesive working environment through effective communication and team building
  • Identify which personalities clash and which work well together
  • Identify individual behavioural blends and their motivational and communications needs
  • Enhance your ability to communicate with people from differing backgrounds, education, status and social skills

Specific areas of DISC application

Sales and Sales Strategy:

Staff will learn to quickly recognise the preferred behavioural and communication style of clients. This ensures greater time efficiency and productivity within the team.

Employing new staff

Identifying personality traits at the interview stage, can circumvent staff turnover by ensuring the new member is a ‘best fit’ for the role and team personality dynamics. Staff turnover is very expensive – for the business in dollar value, and for other staff in training time spent, as well as any resultant friction caused by personality clashes.

  • Assist with wording and type of advertising
  • Read through applications and begin the process of elimination
  • Select and interview final applicants
  • Shortlist final two or three applicants
  • Conduct DISC Profile assessments of final group
  • Work through DISC profile assessments in conjunction with Job Description
  • Provide DISC Report outlining suitability for position, to Management
  • Discuss and recommend the final selection for a staff position
